Many thanks to everyone attending Last Sunday, March 20th Oxford Mineral Fossil Show at Exeter Hall in Kidlington, It was lovely to see so many familiar faces.
I would particularly like to thank all those kind, compassionate and generous people who chose to buy the geology books available and donate the money from the sales to the humanitarian aid of those families caught up in the horrific conflict in Ukraine.
The books were mostly part of an estate from a friends' brother, a keen geologist, who sadly passed away recently. She was delighted that I had chosen to use the books in this way. Thank you, Reverend Elizabeth Bradbury. Thanks also to Nick Hawes who also donated some books and regional geology guides to the sale.
I was delighted to discover that people's generosity had raised £140.00 and even more delighted to see that Gift Aid would be added, bringing the total donation raised to a fantastic £175.00 !!
