#BM05304 : Garnets & Hematite

Tamazeght Complex, High Atlas mountains, Morocco

2.5 x 2.1 x 2.0 cms : Thumbnail

$16.00

These unusual specimens came out of Morocco a couple of years ago (I first saw them in 2005)and I've not seen any since then.

A white matrix has scattered groups of red- orange slightly flattened spessartine Garnet crystals. Associated with the Garnets are metallic platy crystals of Hematite. The Garnets are approximately 2mm.

A super thumbnail of this unusual locality specimen

#BM05305 : Garnets & Hematite

Tamazeght Complex, High Atlas mountains, Morocco

3.2 x 2.1 x 1.7 cms : Small Miniature

$22.00

Another unusual Garnet and hematite combo from this relatively new locality. Recovered from the mining complex late 2004/ early 2005 , these specimens have not reappeared on the market since then.

The Garnets(about 2mm in size)are really gemmy and contrast beautifully against the white matrix, associated with the metallic platy Hematite crystals.

#BM05308 : Garnets & Hematite

Tamazeght Complex, High Atlas mountains, Morocco

$30.00

A slightly larger specimen from this unusual locality, showing groups of gemmy garnets (each crystal typically up to 2mm across)and displaying an unusual 'flattened' habit. The Garnets are typically associated with micro crystals of metallic platy hematite.

These unusual specimens have not come on to the market since i first saw them in 2005.
